SHOWA TWIN CHAMBER FORKS The Showa Twin Chamber Fork uses a hydraulic bottoming system. It consists of a piston plunging into a funnel shaped cylinder. It is a good design and offers nice progressive resistance to bottoming for over 1" of travel. For many aggressive riders, the bottoming resistance could be higher at the end of the forks travel. We offer our oversized bottoming pistons which creates more resistance as it plunges into the OEM bottoming cone. YAMAHA KAYABA FORKS (1998 THROUGH 2003) The Yamaha Kayaba Fork uses a rubber bumper style bottoming system. It consists of a closed cell foam rubber bumper which is compressed over the last 5/8" of fork travel. For most riders, this bumper system is inadequate and does not eliminate metal on metal bottoming. We offer our polyurethane sleeve bottoming system extension. SHOCK BUMPER FOR KYB & SHOWA SHOCKS (specify which shock and shaft diameter) Shocks use a rubber bumper style bottoming system. It consists of a closed cell foam rubber bumper which is compressed over the last 1 1/2" of suspension travel. For most riders, this bumper systems are marginal and do not eliminate bottoming. Over time the OEM bumpers become softer. We offer our Heavy Duty Bottoming Bumpers to add more bottoming protection over the last 1 1/2" of travel. SHOWA TWIN CHAMBER PRESSURE SPRINGS

SHOWA TWIN CHAMBER FORKS The Showa Twin Chamber Fork uses a separate chamber to create the damping forces inside the forks. These chambers are pressurized similar to rear shock albeit at a much lower pressure. The pressure in the chamber is determined by the twin chamber spring. Huge changes in fork compression harshness can be realized by changing the rate of the twin chamber spring. We offer Twin Chamber springs in four different rates; 1.6, 1.76, 1.9 and 2.1 kg/mm. The Air Tank Kit will improve the performance of any set of forks. The Air Tank Kit comes complete with Tank, Flow Controls, Lines, and Straight Brass Fittings. Complete cost is $200 USD We can install your fittings for $25, or we will do it for free when we service your suspension. Back to top
